NF525, e-invoicing, e-reporting: 3 obligations not to confuse anymore

NF525, e-invoicing, e-reporting: three terms that come up everywhere right now, often mixed up, and that end up causing needless worry. Let’s clear things up once and for all, in a question-and-answer format.

NF525 and e-invoicing: 3 topics to tell apart

  • NF525 (the French certification for POS software) → the reliability of your POS (your receipts for individual consumers).
  • E-invoicing → your invoices between businesses (B2B issuing) and your suppliers’ invoices (receiving).
  • E-reporting → sending your data on sales to individual consumers to the tax authorities.

Your questions, our answers

Do I need to do anything in my salon right now?

No, you keep taking payments as usual. The only step everyone needs to plan for is being able to receive your supplier invoices in electronic format from September 1, 2026.

Does NF525 cover payments or receipts?

It mainly governs the reliability of payment data and the issuing of proof of purchase (receipts), to guarantee traceability and retention. RDV360 is now NF525 certified: on that front, you have nothing to do.

What about e-invoicing, then?

If you invoice individual consumers (the most common case in beauty and wellness), you are not subject to the obligation to issue e-invoices. If you have invoices between businesses (B2B), the obligation to issue them will apply on September 1, 2027. For receiving your suppliers’ invoices, however, everyone is affected from September 1, 2026. We cover it all in our overview of e-invoicing 2026-2027.

And e-reporting?

You’ll be covered automatically through our partner SuperPDP (a platform approved by the French government), from September 2027 for very small businesses and SMEs. Nothing to do on your side: the integration is already in place in the RDV360 POS. The details are in our dedicated article on e-reporting from the POS.

NF525, invoices and e-reporting: in short

For the vast majority of hair salons, beauty salons and spas: your POS is certified, your e-reporting will be automatic, and the only action to plan for is getting organized to receive your supplier invoices before September 2026. Nothing insurmountable.
