Supplier invoices: the obligation every salon must handle before September 1, 2026

Of all the deadlines in the French invoicing reform, only one applies to every single hair salon, beauty salon and spa starting this fall: receiving your supplier invoices in electronic format, mandatory from September 1, 2026. Receiving your supplier invoices in the right format is simple: here’s how, step by step.

”Receiving supplier invoices” doesn’t mean “getting a PDF by email”

That’s the first misunderstanding to clear up. From September 2026, your suppliers (landlord, product wholesaler, service providers…) will no longer send their invoices by regular email: they will go through an official channel, via a government-approved platform (Plateforme Agréée, or PA). The invoice arrives in a structured format (such as Factur-X), which the platform displays for you in a readable way.

Receiving your supplier invoices: what to do in 3 steps

  • 1. Choose an approved platform (PA) to receive your invoices. It’s often free for small volumes.
  • 2. Register in the DGFiP directory with your SIREN (the DGFiP is the French tax authority, the SIREN your company registration number): this directory tells your suppliers where to send their invoices.
  • 3. View your invoices on your platform’s portal (like a dedicated inbox), or get an email notification for each new invoice.

The right move: talk to your accountant

If you have an accountant, ask them first: they may have already chosen a platform, or their accounting software (Pennylane, Sage, Cegid…) may offer one. Using the same platform as your accounting firm means zero friction, and your invoices flow straight into your books.

If you manage on your own: three free, approved platforms

For a micro-entrepreneur or a small business, these three solutions are free, approved by the French government, and suited to very small businesses:

  • Abby: the simplest for a self-employed professional working alone, with built-in URSSAF (French social contributions) filings.
  • Tiime: an excellent mobile experience (web and app).
  • Indy: automatic bank sync, the one to choose if you’re thinking of incorporating.

What about RDV360?

Let’s be clear about our role: RDV360 is not accounting software and doesn’t handle receiving your supplier invoices. RDV360 is an NF525-certified POS (NF525 is the French certification for POS software), and as such we don’t issue invoices. Your other obligation, separate from receiving invoices, will be e-reporting: sending the tax authorities data on your sales to individual consumers (what comes out of your POS). It only applies from September 1, 2027 for very small businesses and SMEs, and RDV360 will handle it automatically, in time for that deadline. For receiving your supplier invoices, follow the steps above.

One last piece of advice: don’t leave it to the last minute. Register in the DGFiP directory before September 2026 so your suppliers know where to send their invoices as soon as the rule takes effect.
