All about the certified POS
Is a certified POS mandatory for a hairdresser or a beautician in France?
Yes, as soon as your business is subject to VAT and you record your sales with POS software: French law requires software that meets the conditions of tamper-proofing, security, retention and archiving (NF525 certification or a certificate from the software publisher). The fine is €7,500 per non-compliant software (source: impots.gouv.fr, the French tax authorities).
Is the POS NF525 certified?
Yes. RDV360 is certified NF525 (the French certification for POS software) by AFNOR Certification (certificate no. 525/0746-1, compliant with NF525 rules V2.3), which guarantees that sales data is tamper-proof, secured, retained and archived. The certificate can be viewed online, with an AFNOR QR code to check its validity at any time. There is nothing for you to set up.
Does e-invoicing apply to me?
If you bill individual consumers (the most common case in beauty), you do not have electronic invoices to issue. However, receiving your suppliers’ invoices electronically applies to every French business from September 1, 2026.
What about e-reporting of sales?
Your sales data is sent automatically to the DGFiP (the French tax authorities) through our approved partner (Super PDP), from the deadline that applies to you (September 1, 2027 for small and medium businesses). Nothing to do on your side.
Do I have to change the way I check clients out?
No. You keep ringing up sales exactly as before: compliance is handled in the background.
