Wavy shuts down on September 1, 2026: migrate to Salonized or choose an alternative?

If your hair or beauty salon runs on Wavy, you have received, or will soon receive, the announcement: the software shuts down on September 1, 2026, and clients are invited to migrate to Salonized, the Treatwell group’s management tool. Here are the facts, the points to check urgently for your data and your POS, and the French alternatives if you would rather choose your next tool than have it chosen for you.

Transparency: this article is published by RDV360, which makes competing French software. The facts below are sourced (links at the end of the article), including Salonized’s official FAQ.

What is happening with Wavy?

  • 2016: Wavy is founded, French POS and management software designed primarily for hair salons.
  • May 2022: British company Treatwell acquires Wavy, its third French acquisition after Balinea and Uala.
  • 2026: Treatwell announces that Wavy will shut down on September 1, 2026. After that date, accounts become read-only: you can no longer manage appointments.
  • The designated successor is Salonized, developed by Treatwell. The proposed migration carries over “clients, appointments, services, employees”. Watch out: packages are not carried over as they are; they “will appear as simple services”.
  • On the contract side: the unused portion of prepaid subscriptions is refunded.
  • On pricing, Salonized lists €39 per month (calendar), €59 (calendar + POS) or €89 (with marketing), plus €5 to €7.50 per month per additional employee; 10% off with annual billing.

The checklist before making any decision

  1. Export your client file now (CSV): contact details and history if the export allows it. It is the core asset of your business, so put it somewhere safe before the account goes read-only.
  2. Take stock of your ongoing packages and treatment courses: they are not carried over identically in the migration. List what is still owed to each client (remaining sessions, amounts) before the switch, so you lose nothing and can recreate it properly elsewhere.
  3. Check your POS: in France, payment software must comply with the anti-VAT-fraud law (an NF525 certificate, the French certification for POS software, from an accredited body, or a certificate from the vendor). The fine is €7,500 per non-compliant software. Whatever tool you choose, ask for this proof before taking payments.
  4. Take back control of your booking link: update your Google Business Profile, your website and your social media so they point to the tool you choose.
  5. Compare before accepting the default migration: it is not a commitment. Full price (including the per-employee cost), SMS, data export, packages, support: everything can be compared.

Which alternatives to Salonized in 2026?

RDV360 (that’s us): software from Brittany (Rennes), all-in-one: calendar and online booking, client file with import of your client profiles (CSV), POS certified NF525 by AFNOR, packages, loyalty, gift cards, website.

Public pricing from €0 to €59.90 excl. VAT/month, no commitment, no per-staff fees (a point that changes the math compared with Salonized’s €5 to €7.50 per employee). The calendar, billed at €39/month at Salonized (Appointments plan), is free at RDV360, including online booking and the client file. Human support rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot. Useful, precisely, when you have a migration to get right and packages to recreate.

Planity: pricing on request (observed: €74-114 excl. VAT/month). See our detailed analysis of Planity’s prices.

Staying on Salonized: this is the default path described above. Before accepting it, ask their support the questions in the checklist (proof of POS compliance, how packages are carried over, full cost with your headcount).
